What surprised you after critically evaluating visual media for learning designs created by other designers?
It amazed me how quickly I could spot flaws in a design or appreciate the unique touches of a talented designer. As a teacher, I found that my newfound tendency to critically examine every step of the process had a noticeable impact on my lessons. My class is currently in the production phase of their film festival submissions. While reviewing the title and credit sequences, I noticed some design flaws, particularly with the typography. More and more, it's clear that the design's aesthetic and practical elements work together to improve the overall presentation.
How will you apply the design methodology, information, research, and strategies you have discovered to your design work in the future? Be specific to your current (or desired) role as a trainer, teacher, or instructional designer (or another role).
It is essential to adhere to a structured design methodology in order to create effective learning experiences. This methodology should include the following steps: analyzing the needs of the learner, designing the experience, developing the experience, putting it into practice, and evaluating the experience. When constructing any kind of learning experience, I would make it a priority as a teacher or an instructional designer to ensure that I have a solid grasp of both the learning goals and the requirements of the students. This would make it easier for me to design learning experiences that cater to the requirements of the learners and are in line with the goals of the learning. When it comes to the field of research, remaining up to date with newly developed technologies is a crucial component of developing with the process of evolution. As a result, keeping up with technological developments and always expanding one's knowledge is essential.
